Hawkes Heating – Gas Specialists
Gas Installations & Upgrades
There are many types of gas installation you may require in your home, from fitting a gas fire replacement to investing in a new boiler. Our gas engineers can safely perform all domestic gas installations at your property, including:
- gas appliances
- gas pipes
- boilers
- gas fires
- gas cookers & hobs
- water heaters
As a Gas Safe company, our work is regularly assessed, ensuring it remains compliant with up to date UK quality and safety standards. You’ll receive any manufacturer warranties for your records, and our work is covered for a full year.
Emergency Gas Works
Do you need a reliable gas engineer to come out to your property as soon as possible? We offer emergency gas works as part of our 24/7 callout services, including gas boiler breakdowns. We’ll locate the source of the issue as fast as we can, isolating the gas until your appliance is fixed. We aim to repair the problem in the same visit, collecting parts from our local suppliers if required.
Gas Repairs & Servicing
As well as new installations, we perform gas repairs, whether it’s an urgent fix required during our emergency callout services or an issue is detected at the time of servicing.
If you have any gas appliances in your home, make sure you book our engineers to annually inspect your systems. This will give you peace of mind that your appliances are safe and compliant, reducing the risks of dangers such as carbon monoxide poisoning.
We check each part of the system to assess if it’s performing as it should be, recommending any upgrades or repairs required if we detect an issue or think its performance could be improved.
Homeowner & Landlord Certificates
We provide gas safety records to homeowners and landlords, keeping homes safe. Your gas safety certificate is proof of which appliances and systems have been tested, including the results of the inspection, defects detected and remedial action taken.
- Landlord certificates (previously CP12) – By law, landlords must book gas safety tests at their properties every year for any gas installations owned by them. Tenants must be given a copy of the findings within 28 days.
- Homeowner certificates – Homeowner gas safety certificates aren’t required by law, but you should have all your gas appliances serviced once a year. Your engineer will provide you with a record of the checks carried out and any work completed. This certificate may even be required as part of a house sale.
